October News from Adriana

October 2, 2010

October is LGBT History Month, and October 11 is National Coming Out day. I can remember how proud our son was a few ago when he was one of several students invited to attend a Coming Out Day luncheon with their high school principal. Fast forward to a tragedy in New York earlier this week that has left me too filled with grief and rage for words – the suicide of a young gay Rutgers student and musician whose sex life was broadcast on the internet. My husband and I write LGBT erotic romance together not only because we like hot sex, but because we lift up and celebrate the beauty of all romantic relationships, whatever the gender pairing. We hope that matters to our readers as much as it matters to us.

You can read one of our lesbian erotic romances (and more great lesbian love stories by many noted LGBT authors) in To Love and To Cherish, released earlier this year at LoveYouDivine. All profits from the sale of this book go directly to MarriageEqualityUSA. We’re proud to be members of Sapphic Planet, the author community that created the project.

If you know an LGBT teen who is struggling, please give them hope and help them access the It Gets Better project. Here’s a LINK to one of the videos, by Darren Hayes.

NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY AT DEAR AUTHOR Come join the celebration October 11 – we’ve contributed three books as prizes, and the celebration will go on all day with GLBT book reviews, conversation and giveaways.  Drop by the blog at and celebrate with us!

VOTE FOR US! You can vote for one of our LGBT erotic romances at D. Renee Bagby Presents – Meghan’s Playhouse Book Five: Meg’s Folly.

The first chapter is posted, and there’s a contest for best first chapter, best first line, best last line of the chapter, and best cover. Here’s the contest LINK and blurb:

When Meghan Keenan’s old flame Josh Hendricks unexpectedly shows up at the Summer Shakespeare Festival where she has a leading role, Meg has a brilliant inspiration: he’ll be perfect for Camila, the hot Latina who currently shares Meg’s bed. If Meg’s scheme works, she can continue to enjoy sexy escapades with both of them.

Josh has a different idea. He’s come to the Festival with one goal in mind: to marry Meg. Will Camila buy into the plan and help him spark Meg’s jealousy? Can Josh escape this tempting triangle unscathed? And if he does, can he claim his would-be bride before she flees in panic?

CONTEST: September – Linda has won our September contest for an autographed print copy of Meghan’s Playhouse 2in1 Vol. 1 – Congratulations, Linda!!October contest: post a comment on any of my blog posts all month long to enter – prize is a download of Book 6 in our Swinging Games series: Who’s the Coach – here’s the blurb:

Take on a newbie couple? Intrigued by the fact that both partners are bi, Brett and Jen Andrews accept the request of a much younger couple to mentor them into the swing lifestyle. The tables are quickly turned when the new couple pushes boundaries and fulfills fantasies Brett and Jen only dreamed of!
