February News from Adriana

February 13, 2011

What better for a romance writer than a Valentine’s Day Newsletter! January sped by and when I looked around the first half of February was gone too, so here’s my news at mid-month:

CONTESTS

January winner: Congratulations to Rachel, who has won the January contest prize of a $15 gift certificate for non-piercing body jewelry, generously donated by Nipple Charms. Check out the store website for some really great products – I’ve got my eye on some Swarovski Crystal vajazzle and maybe a belly button jewel.

February Contest: Your choice of any e-book download from my back list. How to enter? Just leave a comment anywhere on my blog pages during the month of February!

READING:

On February 10th, Lara Zielinski and Blogtalk Radio hosted me and three other authors in a special Valentine’s Romance Edition of Readings in Lesbian and Bisexual Women’s Fiction. We got a chance to talk about what we write, why we care about LGBT romance, our writing process, and of course to share some excerpts from our current published work. You can catch the archived show HERE – it was a delightful evening. Here are my three companions for the evening and links to the works they read from:

            Kate Christie, Leaving L.A.

R.E. Bradshaw, The Girl Back Home

            Nadine LaPierre, The Slayer

UPCOMING RELEASES and WIPs

We have three contracted works forthcoming (so far) in 2011 – no precise release dates yet but lots of excitement and we’ll keep you posted!

Sapphic SignsTorquere has launched a yearlong series featuring a full length lesbian fiction book for each sign of the Zodiac, each authored by a member of Sapphic Planet. Our story Cancer Meets Her Match will release in June. Sofia Antonia Milone authored the debut release Age of Aquarius and you can catch her guest appearance at our blog HERE.

No release date (and as yet no title!) but one of our lesbian short stories Accidental Contact is featured in an anthology edited by Beth Wylde and Kissa Starling, currently under contract at P.D. Publishing.

Similarly, no release date for the next novella (book #7) in our Swinging Games series at Extasy. We’re still in final edits – but this exciting addition to Jen and Brett’s adventures features the introduction of that most elusive of swing lifestyle creatures, the Unicorn.

And lastly, two current WIPs: We’ve just polished and submitted Ripening Passion, the second book in our series featuring the fictitious Center for Sexuality and Sex Practices introduced in Smoldering Passion at Whiskey Creek Press Torrid. This full length erotic romance focuses on a pair of fifty-plus characters introduced in Smoldering Passion, proving that passion and sexiness are not limited by age. Woot!! Book three, Inviting Passion, is already drafted, and we’ve just begun writing Book Four, Embracing Passion. We’ll keep you posted!
